Balto Plushies

Okay so I figured I'd do an update on my Balto Plushies- They've not gotten any photo-love for quite some time. These guys have been with me for quite a few years.
The bigger Balto (Sitting one) I got in 2008- I did have 4 of these at one time, and this is the one I stuck with. Wound up selling the others. Since I'm a obsessive type of collector, and Condition matters most to me, I went through a good 8 Baltos (Each of the Large sitting and smaller laying one) before settling with these two.

The Laying Balto I got back in 09 and like the big one had went through at least 7 of him to get the perfect one. So here are my two perfect Balto plushies- I love them dearly and they are one of the better parts of my collection.
My Balto collection has died a great deal. I use to be a hardcore Balto fan/collector but have gotten rid of most of my things.

Only things I have now are these two guys, 2 of the storybooks (Hardcover and softcover), the Dvd's (all three movies), Soundtrack-CD. And sadly thats about it. :/
I still like Balto of course but the plushies will always be the best thing Balto I will ever have.
I only have these two baltos now, I recently sold both my Jenna's to aquire other things (Ginga plushies)- so I'm left with these two preciouses (Is that even a word?) LOL.

Neither of them have been handled by a child, they are mint w/ out tag. And both are the PERFECT example of what a plush should be. These guys are pretty old, they sold in TRU (Toys R Us) back in 95 or so, and are in amazing shape considering how long ago that was.
Sadly now they are quite hard to find and get ahold of for a decent price.

My VERY first balto plush was the Laying Jenna and I got her back in 04. Won her on ebay for 25 dollars. Which now'a days is UNHEARD of. She wasn't in the best condition but I didn't care. XD
Then I finally got my second balto plush; which was the large sitting balto (The one I'd been after) I got him for 50 dollars back in 04- shortly after I got my Jenna. And it was some time after that I managed to aquire my Laying Balto and Sitting Jenna- Which was back in 05 or 06 (One of the two can't really recall).

The two in the photo, I do believe I paid about $110 for the Large Balto and $135 for the smaller one, which isn't too shabby considering back in 08-09 when I got them they were usually going for around 200-ish.

I still remember back in 04 when I got my first large Balto- Thinking to myself how crazy I was for spending 50 on a stuffed toy, and feeling rather guilty for it. Sadly now that is Pocket change compared to some of the nutty prices I've spent on other Plushies I own.
And granted back at the time, I wasn't a plush collector, I just loved Balto, and just happened to adore the plush.

As you can see that started my Collecting- and so, thanks to Balto my collecting from then on out got more serious, and has manifested into what it is now. And now my room is drowning in soft toys and alls you can hear is my husband's desperate plea for rescue LOL. (Not serously)- so yeah thats it. Just felt the need to get all storyteller-ish on everyone C: Woop~
